Galway’s chicest new eatery, Caprice Cafe, is wowing Galwegians and visitors with its

delicious dishes served in beautiful surroundings. Located at the corner of Church Lane and Market Street, ‘Caprice’, which means sudden change of mood, has certainly added to the vibrancy of the area. It is a 16-year dream come true for owners Vicky and John Casey, after years running John’s local family business, KC Blake’s Brasserie, with his father Bernie Casey. Speaking at the launch, Vicky said: “After 16 years together, my husband John and I have finally created our dream café in the heart of Galway City. Our food is fresh, cooked to order and sourced locally.” She went on to say: “Although we are a new Café to Galway, we are focused on creating a great, passionate team, delivering the best food, and both of us are delighted to be able to generate employment locally while promoting Irish suppliers.”

As recently featured on the front page of the Hotel & Restaurant Times, the Caprice Cafe interior embraces you, creating a calming dining environment in the middle of the city, including the upstairs’ unrivalled views of both St. Nicholas’ Church and the Galway Cathedral. But the highlight of your visit has to be the food, from breakfast through to dinner; even their organic coffee recently won a double gold star from the Guild of Fine Foods UK & Ireland and is available to go!

Caprice Café is definitely a must visit and is open weekdays from 8am-6pm, late nights for dinner until 8.30pm on Thursday until Saturday, and enjoy Sunday brunch from 11am – 5pm.
