Caprice Cafe, Galway located at the corner of Church Lane and Market Street, celebrated its first Birthday recently with a fantastic Barbecue Bash. A beautiful 7ft floral wall which ran across the front of Caprice supplied a backdrop to the event and brought a big smile to everyone attending.

Guests were greeted by owner Vicky Casey before enjoying some tasty barbecue dishes created by the chefs at Caprice.

Many well-known  Galwegians were in attendance including; the Galway Player himself, Kieran O’Malley with Laragh Standun from Standun Spiddal, photographer Gerry O’Gorman and his wife Ann, Ionela Papai of Ella West Hair, Ray and Pauline O’Connor and Majella Curly from Visage Hair Design,

The evening marked the end of an incredible year for owner, Vicky Casey and her team which has seen the business grow in popularity having being recently described by Hotel & Restaurant Times Magazine as “Crafted Perfection”,  one of Galway’s chicest eateries. (more…)

Recently described by Hotel & Restaurant Times Magazine as “Crafted Perfection”, Galway’s chicest eatery, Caprice Cafe, celebrates its first birthday on Thursday July 6th. In less than a year since it’s opening, Caprice has grown in popularity wowing Galwegians and visitors with its delicious dishes served in beautiful surroundings. Located at the corner of Church Lane and Market Street, Caprice has certainly added to the vibrancy of the area. To mark their first birthday, Owner Vicky Casey and the team at Caprice have come together with the team at Galway Catering to create a very special barbecue event not to be missed which will take place at Caprice on Thursday July 6th from 7pm.

Speaking at the announcement of the special barbecue event, Caprice Owner, Vicky Casey said, “The year has flown by and I’m delighted that Caprice has been so well received. I’ve had incredible support from family, friends and especially our staff and customers. We are all so excited to celebrate our first birthday and really looking forward to working with Anthony O’Reilly and his team at Galway Catering to create a very unique barbecue experience for everyone.”

DJ Ferg will supply the sounds on the night and the barbecue will feature some delicious Caprice style salads and surprises, alongside barbecue favourites like Sticky Hot Chicken, Barbecued Lamb and Angus Steak Burgers.

Galway foodies enjoyed a wonderful celebration of Italian food and wine at Caprice Cafe, Galway with Max Merli of Italicatessen, one of Ireland’s leading import and distributor of quality Italian produce. Everyone enjoyed a three course authentic Italian meal with a wine pairing of Italian wine for every course, specially selected by Max.

The event was hosted by Vicky Casey, owner of Caprice Cafe and many well-know Galway faces attended including; Phyllis MacNamara of Cobwebs Jewellery Store, Tom O’Connor and his wife Marie, and The Galway Player himself, Kieran O’Malley with lifestyle Blogger, Sarah Geraghty.

Galway’s chicest new eatery, Caprice Cafe, is wowing Galwegians and visitors with its delicious dishes served in beautiful surroundings. Located at the corner of Church Lane and Market Street, ‘Caprice’, which means sudden change of mood, has certainly added to the vibrancy of the area. It is a 16-year dream come true for owners Vicky and John Casey, after years running John’s local family business, KC Blake’s Brasserie, with his father Bernie Casey.
Speaking at the launch, Vicky said: “After 16 years together, my husband John and I have finally created our dream café in the heart of Galway City. Our food is fresh, cooked to order and sourced locally.” She went on to say: “Although we are a new Café to Galway, we are focused on creating a great, passionate team, delivering the best food, and both of us are delighted to be able to generate employment locally while promoting Irish suppliers.” (more…)

Located at the corner of Church Lane and Market Street, ‘Caprice’, which means sudden change of mood, has certainly added to the vibrancy of the city.

Guests joining owner, Vicky Casey on the night included: Phyllis MacNamara of Cobwebs, Model Mary Lee, Galway Hurler Greg Lally, Margaret Gallagher from Les Jumelles and owner of Catwalk Catwalk Model Agency.

Caprice Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Research

As part of October, Breast Cancer Awareness month, the management and staff of Caprice Café, Galway are supporting the work of the Breast Cancer Research team based at NUI Galway, by helping to rise much needed funds for the charity. During the month Caprice Café will donate 100% for the price of their ‘PINK COFFEE’ to Breast Cancer Research and €1 from every glass of ‘Pink Procecco’ sold. (more…)

Caprice Cafe is now the official player sponsor of Connacht Rugby’s Stacey Ili. The 25 year old from Auckland, New Zealand has made his mark on the Connacht team since joining earlier this year and is enjoying settling into life in Galway.

Commenting on the arrival of the utility back in mid September, Connacht Rugby head coach Pat Lam said: “Stacey increases our options all across the back line, He is an exciting and skillful player who complements the game we want to play.Speaking at the announcement of their player sponsorship Vicky Casey, owner of Caprice Cafe said: “We are delighted to be the official player sponsor of Stacey. His arrival at Connacht back in September marked the official opening of Caprice, so when we looked at sponsoring a Connacht player he was the obvious choice for me. Caprice and Stacey are new to Galway and happily we have both received a very warm welcome and we look forward to developing a great relationship with Connacht Rugby and Stacy”.
